Fleet Truck Mechanic - Youngstown, Ohio - JOB 25-01709
Pay Range: $23.00 - $30.00/HR Permanent Position with Benefits
Please Note: Starting Pay Range for those Candidates who have a CDL license is
$24.50/HR Candidates who do not have a CDL license the Starting Pay Range is $23.00/HR
2nd Shift: 2:00pm to 10:00pm Sunday through Thursday
Youngstown, Ohio area Company seeks a 2nd Shift Fleet Truck Mechanic to maintain its fleet of diesel engine delivery trucks in accordance with federal and state vehicle
operational safety standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School, GED, Vocational, Technical Training preferably in Automotive and / or Diesel Truck Engine repair to include general maintenance, diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, physical inspection and replacement of defective or worn parts.
- Must be able to read and understand technical repair manuals to include blueprints, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Preferred Candidate would have a CDL License with a minimum of (1) year of hands on Automotive / Truck repair and maintenance experience.
- Ensure that vehicle performance complies with federal and state vehicle requirements.
- Candidates are responsible for inspecting and performing automotive / truck maintenance and capable of undertaking the following: removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, traction units, and maintains the vehicles appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.
- Maintains vehicle records by entering data in fleet software program for services and repairs.
- Minimizes costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options keeping supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
- Solid verbal and written communications and documentation skills.
Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
