Machinist - Cleveland, OH - JOB 25-01605

Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00/HR Permanent Position with Benefits.

A machine job shop is hiring for a Machinist.

1st Shift 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM / 2nd Shift 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM

REQUIREMENTS

• Programs Mill or Lathe by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
• Sets-up CNC mills, CNC lathes, ACME Gridley or INDEX multi spindle machines by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices.
• Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices.
• Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
• Verifies settings by measuring positions, and sample workpieces.
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following company instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions or correcting minor mechanical issues.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job completion.
