Mechanical Engineer - Salem, OH - JOB 26-00140
Salary Range: $80K - $105K+ Permanent Position with Benefits
Salem, Ohio area company is seeking a mechanical engineer interested in working both in-house and in the field. The duties of this role will include engineering, design, repair, modification, and service of material handling or lifting equipment
REQUIREMENTS
- BS Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years' in heavy industry/material handling/cranes/machinery design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of CMAA, ASME, AWS, AIST, NEC and OSHA publications.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CREO, AutoCAD, etc.) including knowledge of drafting and detailing best practices.
- Travel is required at times to customer sites to fully understand the scope of the projects
- Past agriculture or industrial field experience desired
- 2D and 3D modeling software packages, drafting, engineering analysis & FEA stress calculations
- Working knowledge of gear boxes, drive trains, and weldments
- Thorough understanding of machine tolerances, fits, and finishes
- CAD proficiency and experience with MS Office
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Good communication skills and the ability to professionally interact with external/internal stakeholders
