Structural Engineer - Canton, Ohio - Job 26-00004

Salary Range: $80k - $110k Permanent Position with Benefits

Canton, Ohio area Manufacturing Firm seeks a Civil / Structural Design Engineer who has experience planning out and formulating design structures to support High Voltage Power Transmission Lines.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. PE Certification is a plus!
• A minimum of (3) years of experience designing steel pole structures for electrical transmission, substation and power distribution.
• Familiar with safety codes, utility standards, and regulations to include the
• following:(NESC, ASCE, IEEE, AASHTO, AWS, ASTM).
• Must be proficient with PLS Pole and AutoCAD software.
• Experience with heavy structural fabrication and tower structures.
• Able to provide structural analysis, calculations and make design recommendations.
• Previous experience designing high voltage (69 kV to 500 kV) transmission lines using PLS-pole software.
• Proficient with AutoCAD to create comprehensive drawing packages within the utility infrastructure industry for transmission line systems.
• Perform computer modeling and sizing of structures and transmission line components, instructions and notes.
• Review structural designs with the engineering team and mentor junior level engineers and designers.
• Work with customers to gain clarification and technical decisions where necessary.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills.
