Automated Welding Foreman - Akron, Ohio - JOB 26-00230

Salary Range: $55K - $70K Permanent Position with Benefits

Akron, Ohio area manufacturer is seeking to hire an experienced Automated Welding Foreman to lead the robotic welding department responsible for supervising operators, programming robotic systems, troubleshooting and managing the production team.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Graduate, GED, Vocational School and/or higher-level education
• Vocational certifications or Associate degree in Welding Technology/Robotics is highly preferred
• Professional welding experience, with a heavy emphasis on robotic welding and programming (e.g., Fanuc, Motoman, Client, or similar).
• Proven track record of supervising a team in a fast-paced fabrication or manufacturing environment
• Program and calibrate robotic welders (MIG/TIG) using pendant controllers. Set critical parameters including voltage, wire feed speed, and travel patterns based on technical blueprints.
• Supervise and mentor a crew of robot operators.
• Manage daily workflows, conduct training on safety protocols, and ensure proper fixture loading/unloading.
• Perform inspections of finished parts against specifications to identify defects and adjust programs as needed
• Collaborate with the Production Manager to optimize welding procedures, schedule jobs, and maintain a continuous workflow
• 1st shift 7am-3pm (or 3:30 often needed as a Foreman)
