About the Opportunity
Integrity Technical Services, Inc. is partnering with a leading Cleveland-area Manufacturing Firm to hire an experienced Senior Structural Engineer. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical authority, performing and validating structural calculations for diverse industrial steel framing applications (rooftop platforms, walkways, equipment supports, and crossovers). You will ensure all designs robustly account for wind and seismic loading requirements while driving R&D and engineering standards forward.
Responsibilities
- Technical Authority: Serve as the primary technical leader for engineered structural systems, providing final oversight and approval for static structural steel and Unistrut-based framing systems.
- Analysis & Design: Perform, review, and validate complex structural calculations (wind, seismic, static) to develop sound, code-compliant solutions using professional engineering judgment.
- Code Compliance: Interpret and apply industry-specific building codes and safety regulations, including OSHA, IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE 7, AITC, NCMA, SJI, and ASTM specifications.
- Stamping & Sealing: Review, stamp, and seal engineered drawings and calculations in accordance with Ohio professional engineering standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Document and communicate engineering assumptions, design intents, and technical decisions clearly to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Maintain and elevate internal engineering standards, libraries, templates, and calculation methodologies to ensure scalability and quality.
Requirements
Education & Licensing:
- Degree: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Ohio (must be capable of stamping/sealing drawings).
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of progressive professional experience in structural engineering, focusing on steel framing and industrial support systems.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced hands-on experience with AutoCAD Mechanical (2D), Autodesk Inventor (2D/3D), RISA, and Hilti PROFIS.
- Technical Tools: Proficiency with Navisworks (BIM coordination), Mathcad, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro/FOXIT.
- Design Strategies: Experience with complex assemblies, parametric modeling, and BOM-driven design strategies in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to explain complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
