ACME - Gridley Programmer & Set-Up Operator - Cleveland, OH - JOB 25-01606

Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00/HR Permanent Position with Benefits

A machine job shop is hiring for an ACME-Gridley Set-Up Operator.

1st Shift 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM / 2nd Shift 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM

REQUIREMENTS

• Responsible for programming CNC Acme-Gridley machines to fabricated parts according to specifications.
• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Able to use measuring tools; calipers & micrometers.
• Good math skills, geometry and trigonometry for measurement and calculations.
• Must be familiar with tooling & assembly process.
• Set-Up ACME Gridley machines by installing and adjusting three and four jaw chucks, tool attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, stock pushers and indicating vices.
• Read and interpret blue prints.
• Load raw materials into the machine.
• Monitor the machining process to ensure it maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, thread chasing operations; taking measurements, detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls, sharpening and replacing worn tools.
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy; verify settings by measuring positions and sample pieces.
• Maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements.
• Troubleshooting malfunctions or correcting mechanical issues.
