About the Opportunity
Integrity Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced 1st Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician for a premier manufacturing facility in the Akron, Ohio area. The Maintenance Technician will ensure maximum uptime by performing preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production machinery—specifically plastic
molding equipment—and physical plant systems
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults on plastic molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Read and accurately interpret complex blueprints, wiring diagrams, manuals, and hydraulic/pneumatic drawings to dismantle and reassemble machinery.
- Execute and meticulously document scheduled PM routines to minimize unexpected production downtime.
- Diagnose machine controller issues and work alongside electronic components.
- Communicate effectively with OEM service representatives to solve complex technical problems and order precision parts.
- Actively identify and remediate shop safety hazards. Provide clean, detailed shift
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of total experience across all core maintenance disciplines.
- 5+ years of dedicated hands-on experience in industrial maintenance (must include deep proficiency in hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics, mechanical repair, and fabrication).
- Maintenance of plastic injection or blow molding machinery is a plus.
- Strong process knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and advanced electronics troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to read schematics, blueprints, and machine manuals.
- Ability to utilize industrial math (fractions, decimals, basic formulas) for calibration and interpreting adjustable measuring instruments.
- Sufficient strength, agility, and manual dexterity to navigate a busy shop floor, lift moderately heavy components, and work in varying temperatures/shop environments (dust, grease, grime).
