About this Opportunity
Integrity Technical Services, Inc. is recruiting a full-time Civil Transportation Engineer for an established civil engineering firm in the Akron, Ohio area (43305).
In this role, you will design vital transportation infrastructure across Ohio—including municipal roadways, heavy highways, roundabouts, multi-modal trails, safety studies, and green/complete street initiatives. You will work on high-impact projects for the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), Local Public Agencies (LPA), and private developments.
Responsibilities
- Detailed Engineering Design: Create comprehensive engineering plans, drawings, and 3D digital models for municipal roadways, heavy highways, roundabouts, and complete streets using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Traffic Analysis & Field Engineering: Conduct traffic pattern research, perform field reviews, execute highway safety studies, and develop detailed project cost estimates.
- Quality Assurance & Documentation: Author technical documentation and perform thorough quality control checks to guarantee compliance with state and industry regulatory standards.
- Client Engagement: Represent the firm at client meetings and industry networking events to build and maintain long-term professional relationships.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Licensure: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Licensed
- Professional Engineer (PE) in Ohio is strongly preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on civil design experience focused on roadways and transportation infrastructure.
- Technical Software: Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or similar civil design software platforms.
- Standards Expertise: Deep familiarity with ODOT Road and Highway Standards, specifications, and project delivery requirements.
- Core Competencies: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and verbal/written communication skills.
