About This Opportunity
Integrity Technical Services, Inc. is partnering with a premier manufacturing firm in the Canton, Ohio area to hire a Facilities Maintenance Assistant.
In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. You will be responsible for facility upkeep, routine janitorial tasks, and assisting with basic building and equipment preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Facility & Shop Floor Sanitation: Perform routine janitorial duties, including sanitizing restrooms, lunchrooms, shop floors, and common areas.
- General Maintenance: Assist with basic building and equipment repairs, light painting, and scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
- Waste Management & Supplies: Empty facility trash bins, manage waste disposal, and keep supply stations fully stocked.
- Grounds keeping & Safety: Maintain exterior grounds, including seasonal snow removal, litter cleanup, and keeping walkways clear.
- Equipment & Tools: Safely operate cleaning equipment and standard hand/power tools to support maintenance needs.
- Material Handling: Assist in moving equipment, materials, and office furniture as requested.
- Safety & Reporting: Promptly report facilities issues or safety hazards to the Maintenance Supervisor while following company safety policies and wearing required PPE.
- Experience: Prior experience in custodial, janitorial, or basic facilities maintenance preferred.
- Tool Proficiency: Ability to safely operate common hand tools, power tools, and facility equipment.
- Environmental Adaptability: Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions (e.g., winter grounds keeping).
- Physical Capability: Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry items throughout an 8-hour shift.
