Interior Designer - Cleveland, Ohio - JOB 26-00098
Salary Range: $50k - $60k Permanent Position with Benefits
We are seeking a talented and versatile Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong design sensibility, technical expertise, and experience working on a range of interior design and architectural projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead design efforts, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to projects from concept through completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support design efforts for diverse project types, from residential to commercial.
- Participate in all phases of project delivery, including programming, space planning, and design development.
- Develop innovative, code-compliant design concepts, incorporating finishes, fixtures, furniture, and textiles.
- Create reflected ceiling and lighting plans, integrating technical requirements such as audio/video, acoustics, power, and data systems.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, engineers, and specialty consultants.
- Evaluate and verify existing spaces prior to design development.
- Prepare comprehensive design documentation and assist in construction documentation.
- Conduct client presentations using a variety of formats.
- Assist project managers with construction administration tasks.
- Monitor project budgets and ensure design solutions align with financial parameters.
- Maintain familiarity with industry products and periodically meet with manufacturer representatives.
- Uphold firm standards in drafting, graphics, file organization, and documentation practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from an accredited university.
- Proven experience in interior design and/or architectural projects.
- Strong understanding of interior architectural concepts, spatial relationships, and building systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Photoshop; additional 3D modeling or visualization skills are a plus. Competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) highly desired.
- Knowledge of all phases of interior design/architectural project delivery.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and lateral thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Creative, artistic flair with a strong aptitude for technical drawing and illustration.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and efficient with strong project ownership.
