Senior Electrical Project Engineer - Cleveland, OH - JOB 26-00261
Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits
A Cleveland, Ohio area engineering form that is seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Project Engineer to lead the design and execution of complex building electrical systems. This role encompasses the full project lifecycle—from conceptual design and system calculations to construction administration. The ideal candidate is a technical expert in power distribution and lighting, with a proven track record in the Healthcare and Higher Education sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Design Lead: Oversee comprehensive electrical design, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems. Perform complex system calculations, equipment selection, and layout development.
- Project Lifecycle Management: Drive projects from initial design through to construction administration. Conduct site visits, manage construction documents, and provide technical review of project specifications.
- Financial & Strategic Oversight: Prepare probable cost estimates, submit project fees, and ensure all deliverables meet internal financial goals and client budget constraints.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Serve as a technical mentor to junior engineers. Assign workflows, track individual progress, and provide constructive technical feedback to foster professional growth.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure client performance, schedule, and aesthetic goals are met.
Technical Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Licensure: Registered Professional Engineer (PE) highly preferred; FE/EIT certification required.
- Experience: 7–15 years in the building engineering/MEP industry.
- Domain Expertise: Specialized experience with Healthcare or Higher Education facilities.
- Software: High proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Code Knowledge: Expert-level understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
