Sr. Industrial Electrical Engineer - Akron, Ohio - JOB 26-00041

Salary Range: $110K - $140K Permanent Position with Benefits

Engineering firm in Akron is seeking a Sr. Industrial Electrical Engineer to lead others and be responsible for gathering / analyzing technical data used to prepare electrical engineering designs for client projects.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (Professional Engineer preferred)
• Leads other Designers and Engineers on a Project Team, maintaining effective communication with project team members, other departments, suppliers and clients
• 12 + years' experience with the following: Power, Lighting & Electrical Distribution, Electrical One-Line Drawings, Electrical Load Studies, Protective Relaying, Arc Flash Studies, Power Equipment List, (Transformers, Switchgear, Motors, UPS etc.), Area Classification, and other Electrical Drawings (Schematics, Heat Trace, etc.)
• Experience/knowledge with the following service areas: Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Polymers, Utility, Energy & Manufacturing.
• Must be knowledgeable in protective relaying and short circuit studies (EasyPower or similar modeling software).
• Experience with P & ID's, PFD's, loop diagrams, installation details, conduit and cable schedules
• Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Must have strong communication skills (verbal & written)
• Occasionally travel as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing engineering calculations and plan development.
• Collecting and preparing data/information and performing detailed engineering calculations.
• Specify power system equipment, switchgear, unit substations, motor control centers, drive systems, grounding systems, and lighting systems.
• Create electrical load studies, control schematics, and electrical engineering details.
• Assists in field work by developing scope of work, making staff recommendations, and checking drawings
• Utilize computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.

Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
