Electronic Technician (Manufacturing Lead) - Canton, OH - Job 26-00339
Pay Range: $26.00/HR Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits
1st shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday
A leadership-minded Electronic Technician for a premier Manufacturing Firm in Canton, OH. This is a pivotal role supervising the Electronics Division, ensuring the highest standards in the contract manufacturing of printed circuit boards (PCBs), cable harnesses, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight: Supervise the production of electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBAs, ensuring all projects stay on schedule and budget.
- Technical Leadership: Assign tasks to engineering and purchasing teams; provide technical guidance and follow-up to ensure accuracy.
- Assembly & Setup: Hands-on assembly per work orders and the configuration of assembly stations for production personnel.
- Engineering Support: Assist Manufacturing Engineers in sourcing components and troubleshooting production floor bottlenecks.
- Quoting & Estimating: Collaborate with the Contract Manufacturing Manager to compile accurate estimates for new assembly projects.
- Quality Assurance: Direct QC processes to ensure all products meet rigorous electrical and safety specifications.
Requirements:
- Education: Associate Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in electro-mechanical assembly.
- Technical Literacy: Must be able to read and interpret complex electrical schematics.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively with purchasing, engineering, and shop-floor staff.
- Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain mobile (standing/walking) for the duration of the shift.
- Software/Systems: Proficiency in ERP systems and standard office software (Email, Excel).
Technical Proficiencies:
- Tools: Soldering guns, wire harness assembly equipment.
- Testing: Advanced use of electronic test equipment.
- Processes: Quality control, inspection procedures, and station setup.
