About This Opportunity
Integrity Technical Services, Inc. is assisting a Cleveland, Ohio area Engineering Firm that is seeking to hire a Mechanical Project Engineer who can support the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects from concept through completion. This role works closely with project managers, design teams, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered per the scope, on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for the mechanical engineering discipline within the multi-disciplinary project team.
- Manage small-scale engineering projects completely independently and manage task schedules across multiple concurrent projects.
- Perform detailed mechanical calculations and rigorous engineering analyses to resolve moderate to complex technical hurdles.
- Monitor real-time project execution against original proposals; identify, track, and communicate any scope creep or variances directly to Project Managers.
- Initiate formal engineering change orders when project parameters shift and submit them promptly for managerial approval.
- Author clear, formal engineering reports, client-facing technical documents, and specialized operational procedure manuals.
- Coordinate communication between clients, vendors, and suppliers to ensure accurate execution of design specifications.
- Participate actively in project kick-offs, 30/60/90-day design reviews, and formal client progress meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 5 years of progressive engineering experience, specifically within an industrial or manufacturing plant environment.
- Proven background operating successfully as a technical discipline lead, managing projects from inception to completion.
- Active pursuit of, or a desire to work toward, obtaining a Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
- Strong aptitude utilizing discipline-specific engineering software (CAD/3D modeling) and advanced, everyday mastery of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex scientific journals, professional technical procedures, and federal/state government regulations.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the professional confidence to present technical data before client groups or internal stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail regarding calculations, documentation safety, and project compliance tracking.
