About the Opportunity

Integrity Technical Services, Inc. is partnering with a premier engineering firm in Cleveland , Ohio area to recruit a talented Civil / Structural Bridge Project Engineer. In this role, you will perform structural design and inspections for bridge improvement projects across Ohio, with a primary focus on Ohio Department of Transportation ( ODOT) and municipal transportation initiatives. You will take ownership of technical deliverables, prepare construction plans, and mentor junior design engineers and technicians in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Bridge Design: Develop preliminary and detailed design plans, structural calculations, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates for diverse Ohio bridge projects.
• ODOT & Transportation Compliance: Apply critical thinking to select, adapt, and execute established engineering methods aligning with ODOT and local transportation standards.
• Software Implementation: Utilize CAD and structural design tools to produce accurate design drawings, geometric layouts, and quantity calculations.

• Project Ownership: Lead technical aspects of small- to medium-sized structural bridge and transportation projects.
• Construction Administration: Perform periodic site observations, conduct field inspections, and answer Requests for Information (RFIs) during construction
• Client & Subconsultant Coordination: Maintain clear communication with clients, project stakeholders, and subconsultants regarding active project deliverables.
• Technical Guidance: Direct and mentor Design Engineers and CAD Technicians assigned to project teams, conducting quality assurance reviews on work products.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Ohio required.
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of structural bridge design experience working under a licensed Professional Engineer.
• CADD Proficiency: Hands-on experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Technical Software: Familiarity with industry-standard structural analysis and bridge design software (e.g., LEAP Bridge, AASHTOWare, STAAD.Pro).
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical problem-solving abilities, and strong organizational skills.
