Integrity Technical Services, Inc. is partnering with a premier Sugarcreek, Ohio manufacturing firm to recruit an experienced Wire EDM / CNC Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating precision wire EDM and CNC machinery to fabricate complex metal components. You will work with state-of-the-art equipment, interpreting technical blueprints, selecting tooling, and ensuring tight tolerances for custom fabrication projects.
Responsibilities
- Machine Setup & Operation: Perform complete setup and operation of multi-axis wire EDM and CNC machines to cut parts to exacting specifications.
- CNC & EDM Programming: Program wire EDM machinery using specialized CAM/CNC software to achieve tight dimensional tolerances.
- Blueprint Reading & Technical Analysis: Interpret complex mechanical blueprints, shop drawings, engineering schematics, and job orders.
- Quality Control & Inspection: Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measurement tools, including micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and height gauges.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Identify and resolve machine or tooling issues promptly; perform routine calibration and scheduled machine maintenance.
- Documentation & Safety: Accurately log production outputs, setup sheets, and maintenance records while maintaining strict adherence to plant safety standards.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated experience setting up, programming, and operating wire EDM and CNC equipment with a strong grasp of Electrical Discharge Machining principles.
- Blueprint Reading: Strong technical literacy in reading mechanical engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning, and tolerance (GD&T) specifications.
- Precision Inspection: Hands-on experience using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) to verify part conformance.
- Mathematical Proficiency: Solid practical shop math skills(trigonometry/geometry application for machining setups).
- Workplace Standards: Strong mechanical aptitude, high attention to detail, commitment to clean work environment practices, and adherence to safety protocols.
