Architectural Drafter (Interior Office Design) - Akron, OH - JOB 26-00276

Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000 Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits

We are seeking a detail-oriented Architectural Drafter with a specific focus on interior office design to join a collaborative and innovative team. Core Responsibilities

• CAD Development: Utilizing AutoCAD 2027 to develop comprehensive working drawings and preliminary design concepts.
• Site Documentation: Performing field measurements (as needed) of existing site dimensions, including floor plans and elevations.
• Drafting & Layouts: Developing detailed CAD site plans, floor plans, and elevations based on existing drawings and field data.
• Project Documentation: Ensuring all technical drawings meet firm standards and project specifications.
• Collaboration: Working closely with the design team to ensure accuracy from the conceptual phase through final production.

Education & Technical Requirements

• Education: Associate Degree in Architectural Drafting or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in architectural or interior office design.
• Software Proficiency: High level of proficiency in AutoCAD (experience with 2027 version preferred).
• Technical Skills: Proven ability to accurately field measure and translate physical dimensions into digital drawings.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective team documentation and reporting.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in Sketchup or Revit for 3D modeling.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite for high-end conceptual renderings
• Specialized experience developing 3D cabinet and millwork drawings in Sketchup.
