About This Opportunity
Integrity Technical Services, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator to set up and operate horizontal and vertical CNC lathe machines for a premier manufacturing facility in the Youngstown, Ohio area.
Responsibilities
- Machine Setup & Operation: Perform set-ups and operate vertical and horizontal CNC lathe equipment safely and efficiently.
- Machining Processes: Execute precise turning, drilling, boring, facing, threading, and grinding operations on various metals and alloys.
- Quality & Precision: Interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings to maintain tight machining tolerances down to $pm .001 "$.
- Programming & Controls: Utilize Conversational Programming controls on the machine to adjust and run job orders.
- Tooling & Work-holding: Select correct cutting tools based on material specs; set up and align 4-jaw chucks and work-holding fixtures.
- Speeds & Feeds: Calculate and adjust optimal speeds and feeds for various metal alloys to ensure part accuracy and tool longevity.
- Inspection: Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, tape measures) to perform dimensional checks and quality control.
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or a formal CNC Machinist Training Certificate / Diploma.
- Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience setting up and operating horizontal and vertical CNC lathes.
- Technical Skills: Proven ability to read and interpret blue prints and technical drawings.
- Strong shop math skills, including working with fractions and decimals.
- Hands-on experience with Conversational Programming controls.
- Experience with 4-jaw chuck setups (highly preferred).
