About This Opportunity
Integrity Technical Services, Inc. is partnering with a leading Akron, Ohio-area engineering firm to hire experienced Construction Inspectors for Full-Time and Part Time positions who be responsible for construction administration, field oversight, quality control, pre-construction support, dispute resolution, and stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities
- Field Inspection & Quality Control: Perform active, on-site inspection of civil and highway construction projects to ensure strict compliance with state specifications, engineering plans, and project proposals.
- Non-Conformance Reporting: Identify and report non-conforming work promptly to contractors and project engineers to ensure quality standards.
- Documentation & Data Entry: Accurately record project daily progress, reports, and data entries in ODOT's CMS / Site Manager system or local municipality documentation equivalents.
- Compliance Standards: Perform miscellaneous inspection and testing duties as assigned by the Project Engineer and outlined in C&MS 105.09.
- Stakeholder & Client Relations: Communicate effectively and professionally with project teams, clients, property owners, and local agency officials.
- Priority Management: Manage competing priorities independently and collaboratively in fast-paced field environments.
- Education: Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of civil or highway construction inspection experience preferred.
- Certifications (Highway Testing):
- ACI Level I (Concrete)
- Flexible Pavement Training
Ohio Aggregate Level I - NICET Highway Construction Level II (or equivalent)
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with ODOT specifications and CMS/Site Manager software.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
