About This Opportunity
Integrity Technical Services is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering for a premier engineering firm in the Canton, Ohio area who will direct the engineering team through new product development, review existing products and processes, ensure compliance with customer specifications, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership and Project Management: Assign projects to engineers, designers, and coordinators; monitor completion dates; commit to project schedules during kick-off meetings.
- Technical Oversight: Review, comment on, and approve customer submittal packages, ensuring alignment with estimating packages, bid drawings, and specifications.
- Quality and Compliance: Lead Quality Management System (QMS) initiatives, address non-conformance reports, perform root-cause analysis, and execute corrective actions.
- Production Support: Support shop floor and manufacturing teams during assembly and wiring processes.
- Customer and Strategic Focus: Ensure customer, statutory, and regulatory requirements are met while actively mitigating risks and enhancing overall client satisfaction.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related engineering field. Experience: 6–10 years of relevant engineering leadership experience.
- Technical Expertise: Medium-voltage (MV 5kV–38kV) switchgear, metal-clad, and arc- resistant design. Low-voltage (LV 240V–600V) switchgear/switchboards, power distribution centers, and unit substations. Solar inverter skids, load-interrupting switchgear, relay racks, and electrical enclosures.
- Standards and Software: In-depth knowledge of NEC, Utility ESR, ANSI C37, UL, and State Seal processes. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Skills: Strong budget management, technical data analysis, team training/mentoring, and exceptional written/verbal communication.
