Service Technician (Overhead Door & Dock Installer) - Wooster, OH - JOB 26-00338

Pay Range: $20.00 - $35.00/HR Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits

A leading Akron-area door installation company to hire experienced Overhead Door Technicians. This is a stable, long-term opportunity for a mechanically inclined professional to handle the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial door systems and loading dock equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installation & Repair: Perform service calls to troubleshoot and repair garage doors and openers. Install new high-quality door systems and loading dock equipment.
• Field Service: Interact professionally with customers at job sites to explain equipment operation, answer technical questions, and finalize billing.
• Shop Support: Assist with inventory pickups, equipment deliveries, and general shop maintenance to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Safety & Equipment: Operate power tools and climb ladders daily while adhering to strict safety protocols.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Service Technician specifically using hand and power tools.
• 2+ years of experience in construction, overhead doors, or a similar mechanical field.
• Must be able to handle heavy lifting daily and work comfortably on ladders.
• Valid Ohio Driver's License with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to the shop.
• Strong communication skills and a professional appearance for client-facing interactions.
• Must be willing to undergo drug, background, and driver's license screenings.

Work Schedule and Perks

•  Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Overtime available).
• Equipment Provided: Company truck and tools are provided for all service calls.
