About This Opportunity
Integrity Technical Services, Inc. is assisting a Canton, Ohio area Manufacturing Firm that seeks to hire experienced Curtain Wall / Façade Design Engineer to create accurate 2D drawings, 3D models, and instructional diagrams for large-scale building facades using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Inventor, and Bluebeam.
Responsibilities
- Detailing & Modeling: Develop detailed 2D shop drawings, 3D CAD/BIM models, and step-by-step assembly diagrams for complex building enclosure components using AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, and Inventor.
- Manufacturing Support: Provide direct technical guidance to production supervisors and fabrication teams throughout the manufacturing process to resolve build issues and ensure tight tolerances.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with facade designers, structural engineers, project managers, and shop floor leads to deliver accurate design packages on schedule and within budget.
- Specification Compliance: Review architectural/structural blueprints, structural calculations, and client contract documents to guarantee all shop drawings meet performance specifications.
- Document Control & Quality: Utilize Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite to manage design submittals, perform draw-set markups, track revisions, and maintain clear design documentation.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional design/engineering experience in commercial building enclosures; hands-on experience with unitized curtain wall systems is highly preferred.
- Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in 2D/3D design and BIM software, including Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and/or Rhino.
- Drawing & Blueprint Literacy: Strong ability to read, interpret, and cross-reference complex architectural, structural, and civil drawings.
- Technical Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and mathematical skills with the ability to convey complex technical fabrication data to manufacturing personnel.
- Work Style: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, self- motivated to work independently, and capable of thriving in a collaborative team structure.
