About This Opportunity
Integrity Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Manual and CNC Machinist Programmer / Operator for a premier manufacturing firm in the Salem, Ohio area. This hands-on role involves setting up, programming, and operating precision machinery to produce high-quality components to tight specifications in a dynamic shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up and operate manual mills, lathes, and conventional machining equipment.
- CNC Programming & Setup: Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes utilizing G-code.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to determine machining procedures.
- Quality Control & Inspection: Measure and inspect finished precision parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
- Process Optimization: Partner with the Operations Manager and shop staff to refine workflows, reduce cycle times, and improve production efficiency.
- Maintenance & Safety: Maintain tools and equipment, perform basic shop maintenance, and adhere strictly to OSHA and company safety standards.
- Machining Experience: Proven experience as a machinist operating both manual and CNC machines.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with functional knowledge of G- code and CNC programming fundamentals.
- Precision Measurement: Demonstrated experience working with tight tolerances and precision inspection tools.
- Document Literacy: Ability to accurately read technical documentation and engineering schematics.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; trade school certification or journeyman status is strongly preferred.
