Systems Administrator - Akron, OH - JOB 26-00558

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits

Hiring a Data Systems Integration Administrator on behalf of a leading multi-location regional retailer headquartered in Akron, OH. This role owns end-to-end data pipelines connecting store systems, merchandising, inventory, POS, pharmacy, and accounting platforms. You will manage the BRData ERP environment (host and cloud), build SQL Server solutions, handle EDI/AS2 integrations, and ensure margin accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Administer BRData host/cloud platform; sync item master, vendor onboarding, and pricing across store servers and POS.
• Write SQL Server queries/stored procedures for margin, cost feed, scale-link data, and Ohio Beer/Wine regulatory pricing.
• Manage EDI/AS2 (850, 810, 820), SFTP file exchanges, Scan-Based Trading (SBT), e-commerce, and Midax Loyalty integrations.
• Validate margins and markdowns across ERP/Oracle; resolve scanned-shrink discrepancies.
• Support register pricing, coupon logic, batch exports, bulk label printing (PlanetPress), and Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL) via Vusion.
• Leverage LLMs (Copilot, Claude) for SQL/pipeline automation; maintain system architecture docs, API maps, and SOPs.
• Maintain state and regulatory feeds, including WIC eligibility, Ohio NRTD, and sales tax submissions.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in SQL Server development and EDI / AS2 transaction sets (850, 810, 820).
• Direct back-office experience in Retail / Grocery environments.
• Hands-on experience with BRData ERP (host & cloud environments).
• Understanding of retail accounting principles (COGS, gross margin, markdown, shrink).
• Experience with POS feeds, ESL (Vusion), or PlanetPress is a plus.
